Juan van Emmerloot

Juan van Emmerloot (born November 12, 1965) is a drummer and recording producer from the Netherlands. He began playing drums and percussion at the age of ten at a local music school and later continued his studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory.

Driven by an early passion for guitar music, Juan built an impressive career performing with some of the world’s greatest guitarists — including Mick Moody & Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Omar Dykes (Omar & The Howlers), Popa Chubby, Snowy White (Roger Waters, Thin Lizzy), Walter Trout, Mick Rogers (Manfred Mann’s Earth Band), Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big), Pat Travers, Steve Lukather (Toto), and Stef Burns (Sheila E., Alice Cooper).

After years of touring with these iconic musicians, it was only natural that Juan would create his own project — G30 — a band where the guitar takes center stage.

For this project, he invited three highly talented guitarists who were willing to join him on the creative journey of crafting new instrumental guitar music.

Vision

With G30, we believe that instrumental music can deeply move an audience — even without lyrics.
Each composition tells a story, based on real experiences and emotions. By working hard, reflecting deeply, and staying true to our intuition, we’ve created music that acts like a good medicine: powerful and full of positive energy, balanced with harmonic and melodic tranquillity.

Brian Bordes

Brian Bordes, born on June 22, 1970, began playing bass guitar at the age of 13, but in 1989, at 19, he switched to guitar — the instrument that would define his musical path.

His early influences included Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Billy Cobham, Frank Gambale, and Marcus Miller — musicians known for their creativity and fusion of styles.

In 1991, Brian was accepted to the Academy of Music (Conservatory Maastricht), where he was further inspired by the music of Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins, and George Benson.

After graduating, he quickly became active in the live music scene, performing with numerous bands and artists such as Jan Somers (Vengeance), Timo Somers (Delain), Gordon Smith (Phil Collins), Valensia, Nicky Manuputty, Carlos Lake (Anouk), Jan Rooymans (Crazy Pianos), Walter Latupeirissa (Snowy White), and Juan van Emmerloot (Stef Burns League, Snowy White, Steve Lukather).

 Mark Bogert

Mark Bogert, born on November 8, 1983, first came into contact with music at the age of seven — not with the guitar, but the trumpet. At twelve, he discovered the guitar, and from that moment on, it became an inseparable part of his life.

Mark studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts), completing two degrees: Performing Musician (2003–2007) and Bachelor of Music in Education (2009–2011).

He spent several years playing with Knight Area, recording three albums with the band. During this period, he also released two instrumental solo albums featuring Peter Vink on bass and Pieter van Hoorn on drums. The trio shared the stage with renowned guitarists such as Greg Howe, Tony MacAlpine, and Mattias Eklundh (Freak Kitchen).

In 2019, Mark launched Magoria – JtR1888, a rock opera about Jack the Ripper, a three-year project that brought together fifteen talented Dutch musicians and singers and resulted in a double album.

Beyond his band work, Mark has also appeared as a session guitarist. Highlights include performing alongside Steve Vai(2018) and John Petrucci (Dream Theater, 2019) during the Sena Guitar Awards.

Yoebe Hollestelle: guitarist

Yoebe Hollestelle

From the moment he picked up his uncle’s electric guitar at age six, Yoebe knew he wanted to be a guitarist.

At just fourteen, he shared the stage with Joe Satriani and Gene Simmons, and performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival. This year, he began his Master’s program at Codarts.

Yoebe performs in several projects, including Romanza Brava (the continuation of Herman Brood & His Wild Romance), his own fusion band “YOEBE”, the Toto Tribute “Tales of Toto”, and now G30. He has also played internationally, including performances in Paris with the Scott Henderson Band.
